Well first off i have been tossing around the idea of building a Cummins just because it is cheaper to build. Well today my boss told me his uncle was selling his 02 LB7 CCSB for 6K less than the cummins i was looking at. I am in search of 750 to 800hp! Do i need it no. Do i want it WHO DOESN'T. My question to you is. What parts am i missing from this list. All gaskets and seals, main studs, Howard rods, cut and coated pistons, SoCal cam (maybe), arp 625's, MPI twins S366/S480, Guys 75 over injectors, PPE dual CP3's, Fluid dampner, and...... The goal is to have less than 20K into the build and parts. Here is the deal breaker though.... I was wondering if i could take my trans from behind my LLY and but it behind the LB7 if i did some selenoid modifications and put the LB7 trans behind the LLY? I haven't yet bought the truck and if i can't do the trans swap with out costing to much money i am going to buy the cummins. Cummins truck is more money but i can have the same numbers for alot less in a motor. I got a price from II building the motor boring to a 6.1L or 6.2 cant remember for 8K and then the other parts to get there for 10K. Any thoughts?

Dude, go with the lb7 either way. LB7 will run circles around a cummins that has twice the money in it;) Just order the suncoast kit, I will help you build your trans.

I am going to be in Gulf Shores all summer long, so we can get together and build the trans one weekend.

Sounds great! I am sold on the LB7 now anyways because i talked to Tony B. and we discussed my needs and wants. Andy why he likes this over that! His price is alot better than the others i have gotten! I am wondering whether i want to do twins and dual cp3's first and motor build later or motor first. Building the motor first is smarter BUT If i do that i will not have much money for other bolt on power adders such as the dual cp3's or twins. Hmm decisions decisions! I will not be purchasing this truck for a couple of months. He has agreed to keep it as long as i give him the full asking price of a whooping 6500! :thumb: The owner is 68 years old and bought a toyota tacoma. Since he no longer pulls a travel trailer.
