Ok so I've been working on the outside of the truck a while now and I'm stumped. So far I've de-badged it except for the dmax badge, smoked the taillights third brake light and my dually light, and removed the 4x sticker. Black H2 wheels and gmc logo on the grille. So, thanks to a car wash spray nozzle my grille is missing a spot of chrome the size of a quarter and it bugs the hell out of me. I have a few options on fixing it so I want some opinions. I have a brand new gmc 1500 grille with a billet insert I could attatch the little black 2500 trim peice onto. I've also thought about painting my factory grille black and using the billet insert out of my spare. Oh yeah this is to go with the denali lights I got for $50 and some clear markers. I'm just not sure about the black grille, but if I don't like it I've always got the spare hanging in the garage.

TX of course
I not a fan of color matching the front grille on GMCs, but I like chrome. You could use the 1500 grille and raise the front bumper up. I don't know that your going the get the black trim piece off and be able to reuse it.
