Who runs only one battery? my passenger one is dead, and id like to only run one. Here in az the winter temps are like 50-60*, and the truck is parked in the heated/ac'ed garage. never have had my glow plugs come on in 26k.
pros and cons?

I run one battery in the summertime as long as its above 50ish its no problem.

Make sure its a good one though! I flew out for a 4 day trip in the fall and it drained the battery and it never came back 100% I ended up replacing it(GM original) just before winter.

no. its titanium. (im not saying that to be funny ha ha, it actually says titanium on the side ill take a pic :) )

If you go into Advance and say "I want an OEM replacement battery for a dmax", its what they give you. I think it was 90 dollars.

Just throwing this out there -

Wouldn't it be harder on the battery, starter, and glowplugs to run an LB7 on only one battery versus the LLY and LBZ?

IMO, at least in theory it would, due to the higher compression and glowplugs taking more voltage.

couple things...

the LB7 and LLY have the same compression.

Its hard on the battery yes.

not hard on the starter IMO

the LB7 glowplugs use higher voltage, but lower current. LLY+ glowplugs are only 4.7 volts, but draw roughly 2 1/2 times as much current...... 6 1/2 dozen or the other as far as I know.
