Does the number cast on the injector body signify anything? 5 of the injectors that I just pulled have a 06 and 3 have a 1.

Not really to my understanding, never made a difference to me when i bought brand new none of them had identical # on the fuel port
The serial # on the side of the hold down spot is what matters. The p/n should all match if they're genuine bosch that were replaced all at once. I can get you a list of updated and original # if you need to find out how old they are

Unless you get performance injectors. My 45 over sacs done by s&s had no numbers etched in them anywhere I could find.

Started when Mike L built the trans, it was missing a pump plate inside trans. Now I'm doing injectors, it's missing two injector line locks, 3 valve cover bolts and there is a large blob of silicone in each hole so they were never installed, 2 turbo pedestal bolts finger tight, and stripped allen bolts everywhere.
