Had Duramax since 02, and have a total of about 600,000 miles on 4 with a new 2015 due to arrive 5/1/14. Was a member here early on, but apparently got dropped as I was to busy restoring and showing classic Pontiacs, which I still am too busy doing. Selling off a lot of great LBZ goodies that do not fit the 2015. Very active business with Classics West and Pontiac Parts West. Several years ago I built Duramax trucks for Southern Mexico and Central America adventures - oh yea, spent several hours in a Mexican Military Prison with truck impounded. A HUGE fan of Mike L for towing - I tow 24,000 to 33,000 GCVW ( truck, 46' enclosed trailer, 2 Super Duty Pontiacs, and 2,000 lbs of parts) up I-70 in the Rockies, going up out of Needles, CA at 115 degrees outside, and up the CA grapevine, and have NEVER had the transmission go over 210 - and after 185,000 miles, tranny also shifts better than new. I've had 4 careers (Attorney, Lower Court Judge, Las Vegas CEO, Realtor) and now am full time playing with cars. Great Life.

Welcome...Well I don't remember you from the PLACE or the PAGE, BTW is the PAGE still in operation and does it still cost to join it? Kind of lost interest in the Page when Jim screwed me on my times in the last hill climb. But whatever. So do you ever go to Performance Authority in Bend?

Hey now!! A lot of us started there! Mike was there I believe Mcrat too? I might be confused there tho. Then there was a big blow out over a vendor and a filter and a NEW CAT Filter that can to market , being sold under the radar .

Bigley approached him to become a vendor " We could help you become successful" was the sales pitch he didn't bite so he and the supporters got booted and thats was his demise! :D

Nick made a ton of money over a $11 dollar filter and a $15 dollar filter head and some hose clamps and fuel line! Six figures after he sold his forum! Take that to the bank! Who made WHO successful?

DAMN! I recognize most of your names, PERSONALITIES, etc, so at least old memories are there. Never was much of a writer; not into the technical aspects of DMax's; gave up racing 35 years ago; gave up fast cars and faster women (the first was to try to stay alive and the second was to avoid being KILLED by my keeper of 47 years); gave up the often called reckless adventures (helicopter jungle adventures, held at gunpoint by rebels, and Mexican military jails) in Southern Mexico and Central America that put over 400,000 miles of DMax's; and just started roaming around the West and Midwest in a DMax chasing classic muscle cars and interesting cars. Trying to keep a 17 year old mind active in a young 60 something body which turns 71 in a few days. And Mackin, your "Lifes Journey" fits me to a tee, except all who know me say I'm going the other way.

Hello from Independence OR. Good to see another Dmax fan from Orygun! I have also been a Pontiac fan, almost bought a '57 2dr Safari a while back but decided it's time to thin the herd so I'm down to Studebakers. I'd like to hear more about "fun" in the Mexican prison "system".....
