Not sure why, but I started thinking about some of the computer games I played as a kid and how much more "fun" they seemed than the complex ones today.
So I downloaded a DOS emulator and downloaded Doom as well as Megarace. Been playing Megarace for a little while now, use to play it for as long as my mom would let me when I was a kid. The only video games we ever had growing up was a few computer games, no consoles ever and we could only play for 30-60 minutes on the computer and only watch TV on weekends. Looking at where I am in life compared to the rest of the kids I graduated with, I'm glad my parents kicked my ass outside and made me think of my own fun which there was plenty of on the farm.
For whatever reason "Lance Boyle" popped into my head the other day, then I found Megarace.
Another later game I played nonstop was Test Drive off road.
Listening to the old school music on Megarace makes me miss a lot of the old video games. I am sure I am not alone. I remember as a kid walking into a lot of hotels and other places with arcades and playing cruisin USA. Not many arcades left it seems.
I'm really not that old, but suddenly feel old.
