me to... I am an EFI tard. Getting better everyday though with these peoples help. This is how i started... And i have come a long way in the last 2 weeks.
Loaded EFI on the laptop, downloaded the manual (both for tuning and scanning, beware 250+ pages). I learned how to scan and log first, worked well, then we can see the info before we tune. Log a couple of runs down the backroad, open the software up, name the logs and look at the dashboard and page B of the dashboard. This will show you wassup! Then read the manual... try some of the stuff and read it again (i did, it's to much info for me to handle in one sitting and I'll read it again soon and again etc
).
Then read all the stuff under EFI on Mcrats so you can what the tuning parameters are for your truck. ie 40 degrees of timing at 1200 rpm IS BAD etc...
ps: not trying to be a post "ho", i was instructed to pass along what i know to further the groups (duramx guys) effort, "return what was so freely given". This is what i know and how i learned, as fast as i could. I am a regular joe and it worked for me.
