I have a ported front rail fitting and full race valve, lift pump 1792 hook fuel pressure gage up tonight, was only getting 6to 8 psi so played with set screw and now have 17psi at full out run on level 5 on the PPE hot+2 it comes down to 14 psi rail pressure is in the 22k range and throwing the p0087 still and it has a new filter all lines are tight the only thing is my pump is mounted up side down and I noticed that it is wet with fuel not much could I be getting air in on top from the pump leaking or motor looks like its were the motor goes to the base is leakin, Im running around 110 when the code hits was able to hit 125 and not throw this code before but it is colder here tonight was 43, Or do I just need to get duel cp3's

That's why it is leaking. It would be nice if you could mount it upside down because of the design of the 1792's inlet and outlet but you can't, it will leak everytime. I think maybe 10-12 psi is all you really need. The 1792 works well on our trucks because it is a high volume pump not a high pressure pump.

I don't know about the 0087, maybe you were running too much fuel pressure from the lift pump.

that is the sweetest 1792 setup i have seen what all extra did you use besides the ss plate and the ss lines?

I used everything you see that makes that configuration, Plus a 1/2 Compression fitting tieing the feed line to the Factory one...It's simple.. ( Thanks Big Jon!!)

Thanks LB7diesel thats very clean now I know I can and the aeromotive filter is taht a 100 micron stainless one.

No I think it's the 10 or 5 Micron..But I wouldn't reccomend the Filter unless you like replacing filters alot.. Mine's gutted right now.. I need to order filters.. Or just replace that with another type of external filter.. I'd rather go to the local Parts House and get a filter instead of ordering them..

Henry,

When you are checking your fuel pressure do you have the maximizer tuned on?

I did away with the bleeder valve by the oil fill cut it down and taped it for a an fitting and took the strader valve out I turned the psi down to 12, and no the maximizer is off and im on level 5, what should my fuel temp be and were is the temp reading coming from is it at the filter housing or in the tank or the cooler in the back, also what should the fuel flow rate MM be.
