I have a buddy with a 06. Truck has 85k on it. He is having a problem with it eatting oil. For example: we took a trip to NC for Rudy's event. when we got there he had to put a 1 1/2 quarts in. We started in Maryland so it was 400 + mile trip down there. When we got back he had to add another 2 quarts of oil. Now it seem to need 2 to 3 quarts every tank of fuel. The truck has trans safe tuning, pcv re-rout, and exhaust nothing fancy.

Could it be possible that a ring in cracked and it is getting oil above the piston and burning it? btw no white smoke. Or could the turbo seal be leaking just a little? I have not pulle a I.C. tube to see how much oil is in them but I know before he did the re-rout his I.C. boots were soaked in oil. Thanks for any help or ideas

I got a lot of oil coming from my pvc. When I changed my oil a few days ago there was probably 6 left in the motor. I put an lly turbo on it with my big Lbz coolant pipes, and i think it had a bigger oil feed too. My exhaust smokes alittle in the shade with idling. Also can see smoke out the pcv catch tube. Need alittle more vane position than normal people have to get good boost. Do it sound like its leaking boost into the oil and blowing it out the pcv? If it was the seal would I have a lot of oil in the cac piping?
