Ok so my truck has 77,xxx miles on it, and i when on a trip up to the U.P. the other weekend. When i was filling up on the way back i checked the oil to see if it was full. Well it was down about two notches so i add a little oil, got home let it sit for a while and checked it that night and it was down to about the same, took anther trip out to visits a buddy and same story. is this common or what? there isnt any oil leaks that i can see from, and it seems like am putting the same amount in ever full up now(were before it would be full when i checked it). i did read online that if you switch oil brands or maybe it was synthetic it could take the truck a few hundred miles to get use to and may burn oil, is this true? because i did swtich form castrol to delo oil. Any help would be very much appreciated!!!

It looks like he does have an EGR delete.

Have you looked around for any signs of leaks/drips? I run Delo in my truck, and by 12,000 miles it is down 3 notches. I never add oil to mine. I'd imagine if there was any "break in" for the new oil it would be over by a few tanks of fuel...

Oh, I see you have a PCV re-route. How much oil comes out of there? I've noticed Delo vaporizes a bit more than most oils, but if you leave the factory PCV system on, it re-condenses the oil and puts it back in the pan. You may just be loosing your oil to the air with the blow by gasses, instead of separating the oil from the gas and returning it.

Mind uses about that much in 8-10k. PCB lines are open to atmosphere, and they've always had a tiny haze off them. Coulb be blowby vapors causing it to seem a little down like Dave said.
