I have a 2002 GMC 2500 HD 4x4. I am having a problem with oil in my water. There is no water in the oil. My truuck runs very well, besides having to put water in it every day so I wont have any problems. I know someone that said it was my oil cooler which I believe is my oil filter housing. I cant find any other posts about this problem, even though I am told that duramax's are notorious for this problem? Has anyone else every come across this same problem.

A bad water pump will put water in the oil. a bad oil cooler, turbo if it's water cooled, head gasket or injector cups all could put oil in the water but you say you have to add water all the time and no water in the oil i would go with a bad head gasket.

Is the exhaust ever white? If so that means more than likely injector cups or a headgasket.
