Any CJ4 rated oil will perform well. I currently have Delo 10w30 in my sump but I have a 6 gallon case of Schaeffer's Supreme 7000 15w40 on the shelf...

You'll get many I run this ,prefer this, etc etc. As stated above most oils as long as it's C4 diesel oil will be fine. It all boils down to what is readily available to you and in your budget.

Things to consider are drain intravels and your driving conditions short runs, highway miles and also your climate.

I would stick to 15w 40 in warm climates and or a 5w 40 synthetic in colder climates, that's just my O. You can't go wrong with Shell Rotella or Mobil Delvac, there are many choices. I leave in New England (CT) and my choice is 5w 40 Mobil Delvac Synthetic.

I prefer to stick with the major well known brands not to say others are inferior like Amsoil or Shaefier's or other not so well known brands.

Everyone has their opinion. Just make sure it's diesel compliant.

I run Delvac for now. I had no problems with Amsoil when I ran it except for the cost compared to mileage that the DIC gave me the change message at (10K). I bought the Delvac for $8 a gallon not too long ago so I'm sticking with it for a while to see what kind of life and UOA's I get from it.

Might venture to Bobistheoilguy.com too to aid your decision.
