I have been reading up recently on CI-4 vs CJ-4 oils, and synthetic vs mineral oil. I read that the difference is in the additives between CI and CJ, mainly sulphur-which from the way I understand it is what protects against wear. CJ has less due to clogging the DPF on new trucks.
Is there any known additives to add to CJ-4 to get the zinc back? What is your take on this, and the synth vs mineral debate?
Also what fluid do you run/recommend for use in the Alli, the transfer case and the differentials? Most of you guys on here run your trucks alot harder than I do so I was curious how you protect your Dmax and the drivetrain.
