His scrotum isn't any sronger than anyone elses. Keep that shit up and your will be dragging it on the ground.

:rofl::rofl:

My bro is a big dude, 6'6" 300 lbs light, can pick up honda motor and put them in the back of his chevy truck. He's one of those guy's you shake his hand and it feels like your grabbing a hard metal oven mitten, your hand dissappears.

Laughed when i said let's just jerk the Ally out with the two of us...

He sent me to get a tranny jack. looked at me like i was retarded.

Good luck guys, when the trans drops, move your face to the side so you keep the front teeth.:)

Did you even pull your allison?

Unless he could change the flywheel and converter housing as well as change the c3 clutches with out pulling, I'd say so.

Dont tell me these transmissions arent heavy. You are telling this to someone who is 5 years older than you...

ben

I don't know, I took some bolts out today that were said to be real tight. I was just able to pull a little harder with a shorter wrench? Like Simon says, Determination, this was the last obstacle for Kurt to overcome to get his truck running. He has it running and is not hurt so I'm happy for him.

Looks like I need to start lifting weights so I can bench press my allison up into place if I ever have to pull it out again.

Or use your noggin, maybe just block it up with wood or something. Really though, a 400 pound bench press number is not all that unheard of is it:p. Ok well that number is not in my corner. But heck, I have a transmission jack and don't have to try it. All is good fellow .

I thought I posted on here last night? Hmm...that seems like 2 or maybe even 3 posts in the last few days that didnt actually show up????

Anyway, I just said I think I will leave my sack as-is and stick with my floor jack with a big 1" thick by 2ft square metal plate stuck in where the origional 4" "disk" is now. Throw a couple of wratchet straps over the top and on around and I should be in good shape. At least it worked last time.....

OH please there Nancy, 2 guys can lift 400 lbs+

how the hell do you get it out of the box? did you use a picker for that too? or just bring in a fork lift?:baby:

prolly right, 2 guys 400 lbs no problem. We had a trans jack we used it.

I guess if a guy is on his back, in the garage etc... He's just gonna have to suck it up and figure out a way. The greasy haired guys (1960's?) figured out a way to pull turbo 400's from under chevelles before we bumped into this Ally.:)

Good luck to whoever has to bite it off.

How would you guys go about hadling a warranty claim from ATS if I was planning to do the rebuild myself? Each of the last 2 times the transmission needed to come out they had me take it somewhere and they removed the tranny and sent it off to ATS and then ATS sent It (or another one) back. The frirst place my truck got broken into and it didnt seem to bother them at all. They also refused to cover the labor part of the warranty. I had to pay them and then TRY to collect from ATS. The second place was a lot better.
So, here I am now, the tranny needs rebuilt. I'm sure ATS will want me to take it somewhere or ship it to them to have fixed? How would you guys go about it to get it rebuilt if you were going to do it yourself? I was going to just buy the parts and do it but I cant find clutch packs on their website.
I guess I'm just looking for ideas and opinions before I give ATS a call.....
