Well my buddy wanted a smoke tune in his truck, and I loaded it on with his DSP5 tunes. Anyways I told him to only use it unloaded and only for short amounts of time.

I just got a call from him, he had the smoke tune switched on and was pulling a 20 foot enclosed trailer at highways speeds

I think he limped the engine. Usually I would go and clear the codes and try and fix it but he is up north on the side of the highway and it only revs to 2000 grand.

How would he go about resetting it without something to clear the codes?

edit: I told him to let it sit for 5-10 minutes, then cycle the key...... I'm waiting on a call back from him.

Just having the truck turned off for 15-20 mins should do the trick... Inconvenient though

Yeah, it's a smoke tune so it's not the best for the engine, but he wanted it and I explained what could possibly happen if he wasn't careful.

Knowing him he probably had it to the wood. lol
