Thanks for the compliments too guy's/gal's even though it is a Dodge, I have spent alot of time wrenching on this truck for free and maybe someday it will pay off.
Yup, two magazines in the same month:cool2:. Diesel Power and 8 Lug. The Diesel Power article only came about when the kid from that magazine saw the #'s on the dyno(better than everyone expected). He thought it was just another show truck. He had already seen it in the Superchips booth were we were vending and brushed it off. When it put down 590 on the first run he started shooting pics of it on the dyno, and then asked if he could shoot it for an article, when he saw the 607 # on the last run... hence the 350 hp comment in his article. I was surprised at the #'s(first time on a dyno with this truck, especially with no lift pump, stock CP3 and if you would believe it, the Cat still in place(the stacks are stupid noisey w/o it).
The 8 lug article was supposed to happen after SEMA, but Bob Carpenter got too busy and lucky for us we had time to instal all the parts we had on the shelf for it; cause at that time, it was just a programmer and exhaust proposition, (although we had the twins halfway installed 3 days before SEMA and found a cracked exhaust housing in the A3K
). So off it went and the stock turbo/manifold went back into place so we could take it to the show.
I would roll this truck anytime, and now we have a Raptor sitting on the shelf right for it, and the trans is out awaiting a bigger build, as my brother broke the output shaft.
Should see it in Truckin' sometime soon to, as they have shot it as well...
