Will an 08 Tahoe Nav fit in my 11? Both have bose. Just wanst sure if the CAN stuff was all the same? VSS signal should be in harness as well if both have OnStar correct? Read Bens thread and even more confused now...

Short answer - yes. Long answer, it will be more work than you think depending on how the truck you want to put the nav in is outfitted.
VSS is not in the harness you will need to run a wire. You will need to pull the dash to install the gps antenna. If you don't have an amp and you want the color of the buttons to match the rest of your truck you will need to install and wire an amplifier.
So assuming that an 07 Nav will work in my 11 is this video all thats involved?

The 2008, 2009, and 2011 I converted needed the antenna, vss wire, and were not HDD they still needed the DVD.
Your 2011 should be USB compatible so you'll want a nav with USB port on the back to wire into your factory harness.

Fwiw, I upgraded my unit to oem nav and took out the USB port and replaced with a regular outlet. Never used the USB with my Android and made it nicer to have an extra port for charging.

How does the USB come into the rear of nav? Is it a usb port or integrated into the wiring somehow?
Starting to think this isnt going to happen as all I want is DVD with option for RSE, USB, and nav. I dont think the 07 Tahoe has all that does it?

I can just get an aftermarket overhead DVD player for the kids and do just the same. No biggie. Now just need more amp for the oem bose stuff and Ill be happy. Anyone running the bose lux amp? Is it that much better/louder?
