Odd clicking/clunking

My 07 LBZ has been making a clicking/clunking noise when I slow down and speed up. I greased my slip yoke and I checked my u joints and they seem fine. When I creep along it will also clunk now. It really seems to be coming from the front of the truck but I'm not exactly sure. Can anyone give me some insight? I'm trying not to drive the truck much because I'm worried about it.

check your ball joints. the uppers like to click/clunk when they start dieing. same with with wheel bearings.

Sounds like torsion bar brackets might be broken?
Need to check out the whole front end: upper and lower ball joints, shocks, bump stops, sway bar end links, etc.

If not that then I would say it's the body mounts popping

The bearings were replaced exactly a year ago by the Dealer when I bought it. Would you think that they were bad already?

Unless your torsion bars are completely cranked up, or the alignment was hideous for the last year, then, no...wheel bearings should be fine

running 4wd down that torn up track at the sand drags last weekend can take a weak bearing and kill it in a hurry, as well as many other parts. your best bet is to get under that thing and check everything for play as if the truck was new to you. you would be surprised what parts go out from that stuff regardless of how new they were :D

I don't know about this running 4wd drive down a track lol . But I did play around with the front tires when I put the sleeves on and it didn't feel any play at the time.

before they may have been just fine, wouldnt go off that assumption after taking it down that track.

It was already making the noise before hand but probably wasn't the smartest to run the truck but it didn't get any worse. Also for what it's worth my transfer case was pulled and a pump rub/seal kit was installed by Copperhead a month ago or so.

I'm going to look at it, in the hobby shop. What should I look at to determine if the ball joints are bad? Also I'll post pictures of my front end if I can't figure it out.

Looks like I need new upper ball joints. Shook the driver side tire and it was making a clicking noise. The boot was also cracked so I guess it's time lol. I assume when my truck was braking and accelerating it was causing the noise.

Yeah looking to get the upper ball joint done this coming weekend. I'm probably just going to get the whole upper control arm assembly because it'll be a pita for me otherwise.
