The NTSB recalled 3.8 million Toyota owner's brains because they are defective:

Floormats causing stuck throttles has been around since about 5 minutes after the first car rolled off the assembly line.
But at 6 minutes, most owners figured out there is a NEUTRAL position in all transmissions to disconnect the engine from the tires in the advent of a malfunction in the engine or trans.
Toyota owners apparently do not have the mental capacity to shift while driving, or to push the floormat out of their way, so Big Daddy needs to save them. I call it Darwinism, Big Daddy calls it a Factory Defect, and the Trial Lawyers Assoc calls it a new summer house for all it's members.
I'm writing my congressman to propose a new law that your IQ must be higher than the octane rating of Regular Unleaded in order to purchase gasoline. Traffic congestion will drop in 1/2, and people trapped in runaway cars due to floormats will fall to zero.
I think the throttle pedal stuck to floor in my Camaro once, and I didn't notice for 10 minutes...
