I am new to posting on this forum. But I would like to thank all that have posted with there issues. It has been invaluable in helping getting my truck on the road.
Current Issue 2wd light blink stuck in low gear 4lo, steady light.
Just changed the NSBU switch because indicator light was out on the dash. Turn out to be the dash. Sent dash out for repair, now I can see what gear I am in. Just my luck or more likely lack of knowledge. I my have caused another problem.
Put the dash back together and now I am in 4wd low. I following the direction, thanks again, in changing the NSBU. I put the truck in neutral. The proceed to beat the old NSBU switch off.
I know I moved the shift lever in removing the old.
Question one: Neutral should be 2 detents counter clockwise? What position should the lever be. The black part attached with the rubber boot it movers as well.
And yes I pulled the neutral assurance tab of prematurely. So the NSBU my not really not be in neutral according to the switch. The truck does move in drive and reverse according to the dash.
If I got the NSBU out of neutral position how do I find it. Yes I did already threw out the little metal clip. If transmission cant "find" neutral I will not shift out of 4 lo?
Or is my problem something else. Besides lack of knowledge.
Snarky as well as helpful comments accepted.
