i just installed a transjo jr in my lbz 6 speed. I THOUGHT i did everything right. put the truck back together and its in "limp mode" i guess, dont know as i never had limp mode before. but when u put it in D its locked in 3rd. first time I pulled codes i got a bunch, thinking maybe due to the fluid all being run out. Second time I pulled codes, I got two. PO700 and PO877.

Also when the truck is sitting off, Im not getting any chimes with key in or lights on.

Could my NSBU be bad? or did i hook something up wrong?

ok to update, i pulled the pan off, all connections are tight, I didnt drop the valve body. put it all back together and im still stuck in limp mode, and getting the 877 and 700 codes.

How do u know if the switch is adjusted properly? this is a 6 spd so the switch is on the inside

Switch is automaticaly adjusted when it bolts up. In what order did you install the trim solenoids?

umm, i dont remember what order? i followed the transgo instructions as well as the how to on here.

i keep getting the PO877- trans fluid press sensor/ switch D circuit low

what is that on the valve body? could it be a piece of dirt in there somewhere?

Take out the Pressure Switch Manifold. Its the Blueish colored thing with a plug in it held on by a few bolts, on the passenger side of the valvebody by the trim solenoids. Its a decent sized piece.

More than likely the o-ring for switch D shifted and/or broke when you reinstalled the PSM. Just had this two nights ago on an LMM and know of a lot of people having this issue on 6spds for some reason. Simple fix.

I had the same thing Vinny said happen to me the first time I worked on my transmission. AFAIK, that o-ring isn't available by itself. I tried a universal o-ring out of an o-ring kit, but after it was in there for a few months, it failed. I had to buy a whole PSM from Allison. If memory serves, it was somewhere around $50.

ok i got it fixed. Im actually not sure what was wrong with it. I had the solenoids in correctly, i pulled everything apart and basically started over. Im thinking maybe i had the two valves from the transgo kit in backwards ( one with the rib in the wrong hole.)

Thanks for your help!

Those valves cannot be crossed. They are different diameters. Glad you fixed it.:thumb::D

Dont the trim solenoids on teh 6spd have different bores for the actual solenoid so you can screw them up? I could be worng I just though it looked that way.

hmm, I thought the solenoids were different size but I wasnt sure.
well, if they cant be crossed, then I honestly dont know what I did wrong the first time? maybe a piece of dirt or something somewhere, because it all looked correct as I tore it apart.

all I know is I put about 50 miles on it last night, and all is well. So whatever was wrong is now fixed.
