Here is another from Bank of america...Keep eye on where the links they provide are taking you. It always best to exit the email and log into the bank from their site, NEVER go thru a link provided in an email. Also you can call your bank first.

----------------

Your Online Banking is Blocked

Because of unusual number of invalid login attempts on you account, we had to believe that, their might be some security problem on you account.

So we have decided to put an extra verification process to ensure your identity and your account security.

Please click on continue to the verification process and ensure your account security. It is all about your security.

Thank you.

Continue To Online Banking <---in the email this is a link. It does not go to BofA. Make sure to highlight the link in emails and see where they are going first. In this case the link is to a site that they have setup to look like a BofA site, then you enter your info and they now have it..

I get at least two scam paypal ones a yer saying my account is locked and they provide a link like the bank of america example above.

Paypal is a big one.

Paypal will email you and tell you to go log into your account. If there is a link posted in the email its fake. Paypal says they will never provide a link to there site in an email.

I get so many its not even funny anymore. Many for banks I've never heard of. And some of the emails are so stupid its pathetic. I have an email address for this site that is just for people having problems logging in or registering for the site. You'll see it at the top if you are not logged in. I get a ton of scam emails for that one. I've never used to register for anything or anywhere but still get the emails from some bot pulling it from that screen. :spit:
