I've done some searching and I'm just curious if this is a normal thing or not. I noticed some build up when I originally installed my EGR delete on my 05 LLY. So today I took it off again out of curiosity and noticed that there is some oil inside the delete pipe and the pipe it connects to. However it doesn't look or smell like my truck is burning oil. Is this normal with lly's or not?

Alright thanks. Just wanted to make sure I didn't have a bad seal somewhere. What all does a pcv reroute entail and is it beneficial?

It's even normal if the PCV has been unhooked for a little while. It will take a while to get all the oil out of the system.

Curious about routing to atmosphere, do the check valves at the valve covers require a suction/vacuum from the turbo to scavenge the unburnt gasses/soot from the crankcase. Seems to me venting to the outside in such a fashion with just a length of hose would not "draw" any vapors out of the crankcase and let the unburnt gasses/soot collect in the oil...
