I have a 2003 lb7 with 320k on it. im having a weird problem with it, When it sits it fires up perfect and runs good, if I start it then shut it off (does not matter if it runs for 5 seconds or all day) it wont start again only cranks like 1/10 times it will start up rough if i put the pedal to the floor. i know it is really bad for it but it will start with starting fluid. injectors were replaced by dealership 70k ago. some things that i have replaced myself are, fuel pressure regulator, fuel pressure return valve, I installed a fass lift pump that bypasses the stock primer pump, all fuel lines from tank to the rail have been replaced. the truck has EFI live from the owner before i had it. Some things i have tried so far are, I did the fuel return test and got 85ml of fuel in 15 sec of cranking. also have a scanner and able to read injector balance rates they are-
1= -1.2 2= -1.0
3= 0.1 4= -1.4
5= -0.2 6= 4.8
7= 0.0 8= -0.2
all rates were took in park.
My desired rail pressure and actual rail pressure match perfect when running. when im cranking and dont get a start it will not build up any rail pressure.
i have no engine light on. no smoke at idle, no fuel in oil,
Would you think injectors? just dont understand why i can start it cold let it run for 5 seconds shut it off and it wont start.

Any ideas would help, thanks

Yes I tired using a injector cleaner, it’s off the road now, I don’t understand how running the truck for a few seconds could heat the fuel up enough to change any density tho? What is the max return you can have I though it was 100ml?
thanks.

What rpm is it cranking at? If you disable the FICM what fuel pressure do you get while cranking? May want to do a return rate test on the CP3 and at least each bank of injectors
