Have an 2007 lbz that I tore down to the short block. While apart I installed a Wagler stage 1 alternate firing order cam. After reinstalling the motor I could not get it to start. I double checked the wiring for the new cam several times. Removed glow plugs and cranked, observed fuel coming out. During cranking has some white smoke that smells like raw fuel. No codes. I have taken the front cover back off and passenger side valve cover. Timing is correct and no push rods are bent. Dowel pins on crank are also good. Not sure Where to go from here. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I did but as far as I know no tuning changes are necessary when wiring is changed for firing order

I did not adjust the valves when I installed the new cam, think that would be enough to cause a no start?

It can if the lash is to tight and you have a hung valve. You will loose compression if the valve doesn't close all the way

Always a good idea to set the lash with a new cam

Ok will try that next. Acted like it had no compression, spin over easy and didn’t even try to start with some ether. Thank you
