p0845

Problems started after a 16 hr round of snow plowing. The next day i started driving and it started flaring shifts in every gear. After 10 miles of driving it was only the 2-3 shift and a violent 4-5. Then reverse had a delay, and then engage really hard. Like going to break something hard. Changed the spin on, no help. Fluid was good didn't smell burnt. Had to go push again, hoping it would make it. Tried to baby it but 5 1/2 hours later it limped and now I have no reverse. I can feel it engage into reverse but when I try to give it some throttle I get a little movement then nothing. I was thinking transfer case at first due to the p0733. I cleared the code. then It wouldn't move at all. Came back to it today fired it up and it moved. Stuck in 1st and no reverse. I'm thinking trans is toast and I can get rid of this purple pos, but if I can get a few more miles out of it I would feel better about the money I wasted. Any ideas before I start ordering parts and tearing it out would be awesome.

I had a feeling something internal was messed up when I lost reverse. Now to search for the ATS parts delete thread you posted up so I can get the hard parts.

Would a loose internal filter cause my issue? It has a filter lock but it seems the rubber gasket around the neck of the filter shrunk...? It was an Autozone filter. Rubber gasket was hard like plastic.

No it didn't.... Opened up filter and there wasn't much. Pan was fairly clean. Clutches don't seem to out of spec. C4's were at .90. They were the worst. C1 are tight at. 35

your c1's are way tight. should have at least 80 is what i was told. at 35 they would drag with the c2's engaged(the c1 piston gets pushed up slightly when the c2 piston is engaged).

You guys need to put your decimal in the right place. .9 is almost an inch. It should read 0.09.

All I have is the astg manual, and it called out 40 as the minimum? That clearance was direct from ATS. It was a complete unit when I bought it.

How was the fluid? Burnt?
Didn't smell burnt, but looked dirty. It finally made it 60k miles so the fluid was due to be changed. I haven't been hard on this tranny since the last time it came out. I removed the tuning and It hadn't been running 100% due to cp3 failing until a month ago. I had a feeling that when I got the power back, it would act up.
