No Prime To Fuel Filter

So after getting home with a new fuel filter and changing it, I go to prime the filter and after 5 solid minutes of pumping, nothing. Tried with the gas cap off and bleed screw completely out and everything:(. Suprisingly, I managed to source a filter head rebuild kit locally in Red Deer, I'm hoping this will also resolve the random hard start issue I have had lately as if the injector lines had air in them.

Good place to start with the rebuild of the filter head also consider a lift pump. Make sure the filter gasket is getting a good seal. And the WIF sensor o-ring even if you put a little Vaz on them. Good luck

I'm certain the O-rings are sealed, I just picked up the rebuild kit this morning and am going to install it today. I planned on getting an Air Dog 165, but im still saving for my V2:woott:

So it turns out the seals were fine, but i found large amounts of clear plastic shavings and rag lint inside those little non serviceable one-way valves, took me about a half hour with toothpicks and solvent to clear them. Serves me right from filling up from a slip tank with no filter. I installed the rebuild kit for piece of mind anyways, and all is well once again. Now on to solve that water pump leak...
