Not sure what's going on with my buddys truck. It happened a few times with him driving, and once when I was trying to duplicate the problem. When taking off from a stop the truck seems to have no power....You can mash the pedal to the floor and have limited power for about 3-5 seconds then the truck finally takes off. When the problem first started I had him replace the fuel filter. Problem still is happening, but no codes are being thrown. It seems like it's not getting any fuel. Yet he can have his toy hauler fully loaded and pull a long grade without any problems....There is never any hesitation once any boost is present....only during take-off. We cut open the replaced fuel filter and it was clean.....any ideas what to check???
One other note....there is no smoke when the truck finally takes off. Not sure if it matters but the balance rates on the injectors are well within spec.
He's on his third tank of fuel, so I doubt any bad fuel issues..
