What will cause my 2 AUX 12v plugs to work intermittently and now not work at all? Been like this for a year... going camping this weekend and I kinda need my AUX plugs to work again. I personally don't think its the plugs them selves. What ground do I need to check?

The black one. :D im pretty sure your damn near two years with this issue now

try applying ground to the ground wires and see if the issue goes away, if it dont, you know its a power issue. you dont have any scotch lock connectors on any wires under the dash do ya?

Means bad ground somewhere or bad plugs. if you can, run a new ground wire from the plug its self straight to a known good ground. if that fixes it, you need to trace down the bad ground, if it doesnt, you need new plugs

Both of mine did the exact same thing. I would plug my passport into them and get brief power. Couple min later, nothing. Soldered In a new wire and ran it to a new ground. Fixed the problem.
