No NADP Blackout this year

I checked with NADP in edmonton and they said they weren't doing August Blackout this year. This is what they said

"Unfortunately, there will not be a Blackout this year, but I believe the
NHRDA, http://www.nhrda.com/Events-D6.htm , has an event planed for the 14th
of Aug.
Thanks !!"

Ya NHRDA is still holding an event, it's just not going to be called the blackout or likely have the jet cars and such. It's only going to be a one day event.

Also, the Darwell Sled Pulls, the NHRDA event in Medicine Hat and the 1/8th mile day in Hanna are all on the same day this year! :gayflag:

What happened to the Blackout? Economy or something else?? I was really looking forward to that event. We'll probably make the race anyway, but I really wanted to see the show at Black Out.

I heard it was a costly event and wasn't finacially worth it

Gime some time, I'll get something together for all the sledpulls and NHRDA events. As far as the small town stuff I don't have a clue except for the Hanna 1/8th mile day and I can probably find out from Ted @ MPL when the 100' shootout is. I believe it is in July sometime.

Ok, here is the ATPA pulling schdule as of right now:

Olds, AB - June 19th and 20th

Drumheller, AB - June 26th and 27th

Edson, AB - July 10th and 11th

Vermilion, AB - July 31st

Darwell, AB - August 14th and 15th

No idea where the events are actually being held in these cities but it shouldn't be too far behind. Just follow the trail of chewing tobacco and beer cans!:rofl:

And the NHRDA events in Canada are:

Mission B.C. - May 8th & 9th at Mission Raceway

Calgary, AB - May 29th & 30th at Calgary Dragstrip???

Medicine Hat, AB - June 26th at Medicine Hat Dragstrip

Edmonton, AB - August 14th at Castrol Raceway

Ya that is a good one. Usually a huge turnout both in the show and just around town if the weather is nice!
