Wonder if you damaged the flasher?

I had both blinkers coming on when I turned on the right blinker for a short time, and come to find out after replacing the whole signal switch that was not the problem, but the flasher was bad.

If you popped the fuse, it may have burn the contacts or something.

So when you turned on your right blinker, both would flash as if your hazard lights were on right? but everything else worked fine. And replacing the flasher relay fixed it? Sorry for all the questions but that is what was going on with me lately. but it seems to have stopped for now.

Correct, turning on right blinker made it go into hazard mode. Removed the flasher relay, and did some investigating. Cleaned the relay with contact cleaner, and adjusted the contact arm on the left blinker (that was the one sticking). Was having issues finding the relay at the time along with getting to a dealer to pick one up as I was working completely fubar hours.

Took me about 3 attempts to get it all figured out. The relay is about $70 at the dealer (IIRC). Switch was over $300. Since the adjustment all has been fine for about 3 years.

Flasher is behind the knee panel on the left side of the steering column. I pulled the colored lower dash (knee panel) and there is a hole that you can stick your fingers through to feel the relay. Turn on a blinker and listen for the clicking noise. Even though it makes noise, the contacts could be bad.

I probed mine with a test light and a ground lead to figure out which one was the issue.

I got my hands on a set of 24" chrome truck horns for free. Going to try and get my hands on an AC compressor or even a true truck air compressor to build air pressure. I also will be getting the BENDIX water separator off a truck and an Air tank.

One day I might get a set of Nathans.

hmm i have a custom setup in my other truck...two old internation horns(not sure what they are) a 5 gallong tank of an airbrake system off a mack...and a cheap ebay air compressor works like a charm...i also have a titan air compressor mounted back there but its all good
