So I learned the hard way I have no 4wd. I replaced the actuator on the front axle. I can hear the t case shifting as well as the front axle clicking. The 4wd switch says it’s in 4wd but I can still spin the front tires by hand when it’s on the hoist. I can’t spin the front driveshaft though, that seems to lock. I also re learned after putting the new actuator in. I’m at a loss here fellas

When you turn the wheel does the other wheel turn the opposite direction? If so, that's normal. It's an open diff. If you had a spool, locker or something else to lock the two sides then you would have difficulty turning the wheels

If you have a helper or a way to hold one of the wheels while you turn the other. Then you'll know if you have issues

If you turn one wheel and the other doesn't move and the front drive shaft doesn't move either then your actuator isn't engaged or it broke the coupler
