I have become a Hankook fan the RF-10 is bad to the bone, awsome off road and dirt roads and handle great on the street, they are freakin cheap too, but hard to come by in my neck of the woods. Never had the Nitto's, but the hankooks should be cheaper than that? I just picked up my 285-70 R17's for 620 bucks? mounted and balanced.

Me too, The toyo's I have right now came off C.R. brand new $250.00:eek::) I spent 4hrs in the truck yesterday driving up north to look at a 02 D-Max for $5,500.00 but it needed some T.L.C. so I offered him $4,800.00 cash but he declined. Anyone looking for a cheap ext-cab 4x4 check out the N.Y's craigs list.

I wish i had some more money, exellent time to buy another truck, and cheap! Feels like i got ripped off big time now, I paied 14K for mine here 2yrs ago! Well, paying, still. Now it did book for 20K then. Still, feels real wierd hearing of D-maxes this cheap.

I have a friend of a friend deal, asking $3500 for complete drivetrain from an LMM....Engine, 6spd Ally, T-case, rearend, computers harnesses, and has 7500 miles on it! From a severly rolled truck. Wish i could get it for spares but hell for a few grand more i can score a whole truck:eek:

i have had 3 sets of nittos and i like them, but they wear out to damn fast. I have the hankooks now and can tell you these will last a while. The grip is unbelieveable in snow, rain.

Ive run 2 sets of Nittos on the truck & like them, good traction & their ok on mileage expect 35-40k cause of the soft compound

Anybody have a comparison for the Nittos vs. Toyo A/T's? Pretty similar?

Same company, less aggressive tread & harder compound for more mileage.
My buddy bought a set wanted more mileage than the Nittos, ended up getting a defective set that vibrated like hell, got scared with that ordeal & went with Goodyear ATs

I've had a set of Toyo A/T's for 4 years and 30+k. Never had them balanced and they are still just a smooth as the day I bought them. Tread isn't even half way worn and these are my racing tires.

The reason for the low miles is they are mounted on my summer only wheels.

Nitto's are basically the same but don't wear as good from what I've heard.

I am running Nittos and I like them. I have 265/75-16 E load. They have good traction on ice and snow, and handle pretty good on the street. I think they look pretty good too. My only issue is with the rough ride. I don't haul or tow very often, so it's way too stiff of a tire. I will be buying a new set in the coming months, but D load.
