Looking at both in a 305/50/20. want the best of the two and i have heard mixed thoughts. mostly DD with the occasional street race and trip to the strip, have around 600-650 hp and traction bars.

As an aside, Im still a fan of Toyo Proxes ST after all these years. It really sucks that Toyo stopped making them in 16 and 17 sizes. Those darn things could hook.

Your referring to the original proxes I guess. The St2 seems to do well on my 17s, id like to change it up but theres just not alot of tires in a 17, i'm not gonna put heavy 20s on. These ecstas don't come in 17s either:(

I have no experience with the kumho ecstas. But I will never buy a kumho tire after how many sets of regural passenger tires I put on. They balance like shit and always come back for rebalances I've never had that much trouble with any other tire. Imo they are just cheap Korean made tires.

As for the 420, there's no way they will last 30k they just aren't made for a heavy truck but they aren't too bad.

My kumho's have been great. They balanced no problem and have not needed any further attention since October when I put them on. If I get 8,000 miles out of them, I'll be happy. Tires don't last long when you floor it a lot at my power level.

I have a set of wheels with 305/50/20 kumho ecsta's and a set with 305/50/20 proxes ST's after running the kumhos I couldn't wait to get the proxes back on they get much better traction.

had a set of 305/45/22 nt420s about 8-9 years ago. Last 15k miles on a stock LB7 extended cab with an Edge tuner. Never did burnouts or anything. Learned my lesson. They aren't rated for these trucks lol.

edit: they were garbage in the rain and not much better on dry roads. Maybe a sticky track is different though.

my 275/60/16 Toyo Proxes S/T would cut reliable 1.63-1.68 60's on stock shocks and spring clamps. Best setup I had even ran hands down

Anybody have experience with these tires and or toyo proxies in the snow?
Just curious because of the occasional random snow storms we get in Colorado.

St2 proxes do fine in the snow, no problems, never ran the others. I have not ran the original proxes st.
