Update; Ken won NHRDA pro 1 bracket event. I think this was his first race this year in the new truck. The 3 top points leaders were there and Ken took out 2 of them and more for the top spot!

Congrats you old gezzer, and thanks for the "traditional dinner after" paid by the winner.

Thanks, Rob built me a very sweet hot street tune, drove it up from Medford after Ben Canty aka Max Payne turned my rotors and looked it over to make sure my air conditioning and tranny cooler lines were not leaking again. I got 20.5 mph with the same tune I raced with driving about 5 over the speed limit on I-5. This Percision TC is very tight and will blow through the brakes at anything over 1900rpm. It ran a very consistent 12.7 at 106.8x. 60's were all about 1.85. All runs were within 2/100's. Best was a 12.69. Got very lucky and cut some great lights. Old geezers get lucky once in a while.:D

hahahahaha , still got it eh !

Congrats Ken

Yes it was funny, first elimination round I cut an .003 light and was hard on the brakes at the finish. The track owner, Jim Livingston and I go way back starting the Madras Drag strip as members of the old Loafers Auto Club back in the late 50's early 60's. He start telling the crowd we'd been racing together for almost 50 years. Damn that sounds like a long time.:D

I liked racing at Madras , good people out there .

They thought I was nuts racing the kodiak . Then I also had to race snowmobiles with the bike .

I got smoked everytime by those damn snowmobiles . I was running 7.10's to the snowmobiles 6.20's

Was a little embarrassing .

Nice light by the way too Ken . How has Bend been lately ? Kinda miss it up there .

We've had a great summer, not too hot, no rain, no thunder and lighting, no fires. Been sunny every day since mid June. They have cut way back on the races at Madras, not enough staff to run the events so they did away with the friday nite street legals. May try and get up there for one more race. Will be going to Medford for the NHRDA finals in September, should be fun. Any chance you making it?

You know I use to live in Gold Hill , those be my old stompin grounds . Thats a trip that I may try to make . That would be cool to race in Medford .

Then do some tubing down the Rogue from Gold hill , and some wheeling to the top of the logging roads behind Jacksonville .

Sounds like something I need to try to make .

We got a call inviting us to this event. Unfortunately it's the same weekend as Pinks all Out:(

It's at Infineon Raceway in Sonoma.

That sounds like fun. Went to the Arm Drop Live event they had over the 4th at Woodburn. Same payout just no TV coverage. Was a lot of fun but a real funky elimination process. Don't know your dial till you get to the line and both vehicles have the same dial. They pick a large field and get as many as they can within a couple of 10's. Old 66 dodge won it. Guy had never won a thing in his life. Old guys had a huge advantage on the arm drop, only way we raced for years, youngs guys were either jumping or sleeping.
