First of all, I just wanted to say thanks to the NHRDA for coming out and putting on a good race for us diesel heads. Once again is was a well run event put on by them and the Texas Motorplex.
Also, I wanted to say it was good to meet a few more members from here. DetailsUnlimeted, emiller3, estelly, and jpowel29. It was nice to put some faces with names.
Now for the results. I ended up going out in the first round of the Sportsman class with a -.010 red light, but I entered the Gambler's race and made it all the way to the finals where I got another red light . Dad went out in the second round with a 13.723 on a 13.75 dial in. My boss, Jim, entered in both Super Street and Pro Street. He lost in the semi finals of Pro Street because he was snoozing at the tree (.4something R/T to a .2something R/T). He had a much better ET than the other guy (high 10.6 to a low 10.9), but he needed about another foot or two to pass him (the MOV was .0025). He did better in Super Street by getting the win in the finals over estelly who was having some truck issues all day. I'm not sure what happened in the Super Diesel 11.90 index class, but DetailsUnlimited got 1st in the Sportsman Class (mind you after he lost to me in the Gambler's race ).
Congratulations to all the racers who turned out and made it a great event. :woott:
