NEXTEL/Sprint Sucks!!

Just needed to rant a bit about my new piece of shit Nextel Hybrid phone!! Awile back I was having issues with my Nextel phone service and a friend of mine said he went with the Hybrid phone which still uses Nextel for the direct connect but uses Sprint for the phone service. He seemed to like his so I thought what the F, I'll go get a new phone. That was a big mistake. I hate this phone! Battery lasts 1 day,dropped calls, you can't hear shit on it, and since when did they start designing phones that won't power on when plugged in? WTF. Does anyone else have this prob?

If it wasn't for my overwelming need of the direct connect I'd mail it back to them in a box full of Cat S##T!!!

I'm right there with you..... I must have DC and every nextel phone I've used is a total piece of garbage. I don't believe its the phones, I think it is more their network. I lose calls atleast twice a day. Messages come to my inbox weeks late... thats right, WEEKS. None of the batteries last at all.

I have a Sprint/Nextel hybrid that I use for the shop and making calls when I am out of the shop. It is the ic502. Overall I am a somewhat satisfied customer. Reception could be better. May main concern is one that you stated, battery life!!!
I will state one time I was digusted:
We took a long weekend here and went up to Toronto. I transfered the calls to my cell phone and I had very spotty service North of the border with ZERO service in Toronto.
I missed quite a few calls and I am sure I lost business because of it.
I am much happier with my Verizon service on my personal phone. Always have service and any issues are handled very promptly.

i was with nextel then they merged with sprint. I got that ic502 when it first came out and a few months later called nextel and said NO WAY !!!! They changed my accoutn to sprint for no charge, gave me free phones.... i was happy. Now i wish i ahd someone else because the phones are kinda subpar....

I want the damn IPHONE !!!!

I bought my wife the hybrid phone and she has had good luck it other than it drops calls every once in a while. Hers is a ic502

Is there a Cellphone that allows you to plug in a phone jack to it? For hooking up a device that normally requires a phone connection, like DirecTV?

yes and they make adapters fyi if you didnt know they make wireless modems for your direct tv if thts wht you want it for

I have sprint and the motorola Q9C.

I love it. Phone and reception are much better than my work verizon razor or my old phone on AT&T.

Phone has voice navigation, windows 6.1. Unlimited text, internet, and 750 minutes for two phones is only $110. Phones only cost $70 (regular $550).

Does not have push to talk.

I've been with Sprint/Nextel for many years. Works really well in my area.

I just switched to the Instinct phone. Been about 4 weeks now. I'm pretty happy with it so far.

The turn by turn Nav feature is very cool!

I have Sprint and have been very pleased with it. My fiancee has Verizon and it SUCKS here. She is getting rid of it and getting a sprint. Personally I hate verizon and everyone I know with it is always saying "can you hear me now?":rofl:

I got a nasty letter from Sprint saying they now have a limit on their unlimited internet plan. 5 gig max for the Sprint tower and 3 gig max for roaming per month.

I've now switched to alltel as of today and will receive my equipment Friday.

To sum up my current Sprint plan, I would be limited to 3 gig's bandwidth a month due to Sprint not having a tower locally. At least I'm able to get out of a contract for free.

IDK, most cell companys service here suck @ss. I have AT&T/Cingular. Actuall cell service is great everywhere i've been...no problems. But actual customer service (store or over the phone) sucks, long as you don't need deal with them its great. My currant phone is a Sony-Ericsson W300i Walkman (older one) and man this is a tough ass phone! I've dropped it, kicked it, soaked it, smashed it, etc. This phone has survived hell! Its kinda scratched outside but every thing else is fine exept the loudspeaker i kinda baked playing loud music! Never had a phone this tough, keep dropin it (like 3 times a day) and thinkin...man i prolly just broke the screen!....Nope! Previous Sony phones i had sucked. I've had good luck with LG's too. Just thought id share
