I am trying to determine my next mod purchase which will either be a HSP CAI, ADII 165 lift pump or a 4'' turbo back exhaust.

I am currently running relatively stock with the only performance mod installed on my pickup being the tuner. I am currently set at lvl 2 on the PPE Hot+2 and averaged about 17.5mpg @ 75-80mph highway driving. I tried lvl 3 but I assume I was running out of fuel since acceleration seemed to fall on its face at full throttle and economy on the same stretch of highway was about 16mpg:confused:.

My goal is ultimately is to get the best mpg and keep the pickups towing ability, but a little extra HP is always fun.

So in your opinion what is the next best option for fuel mileage and truck longevity?

Lift Pump - Feed CP3 for reduced strain and added filtration of fuel

CAI - Reduce air intake restriction and lower EGTs?

4" Exhaust - Reduce exhaust restrictions and lower EGTs?

Just cut the muffler off and put a piece of flexpipe in its place, and buy a lift pump. Kennedy or tts is what I would recommend. No need to waste money on a CAI. But just for sh!ts and gigs, what year is your truck and how many miles? It might be in your Sig already but I am on Tapatalk so I can't see it and too drunk to look it up. Reason I ask is if she has some age on her the cp3 might be the reason she falls on her face on level 2. Lift pump, transmission and torque converter will make a huge difference on a stock truck with just a tuner.

Thanks for all the replies, it is an 03 with about 135K miles. It's been in the back of my mind that it may be the cp3, but I'm hoping its just the extra restriction of the CAT filter. I ran my previous tuner maxed out on the 120hp tune and it seemed fine but I only put 400-500 miles on the pickup with the old tuner and CAT filter.

I will likely do the tq converter when I put in a new tranny, but that probably won't be for a few years.

I found a muffler delete pipe that fits pretty good on ebay, works fine for my DD/tow needs. Only cost me $40-50. I run IdadoRob's mileage tune and got 19.7 mpg out of my last tank. Only other mod is a K&N filter element and a Nicktane filter adapter.
