And he's a ginger like his mommy!
Words can't describe the graceful bliss this lil man has me in.
We spent some time in the hospital last week over a blood clot scare and sciatic nerve pain in right leg. Thank God neither ended up being detrimental. They sent us home w/ a baby aspirin a day regimen for blood thinning & heating pad for the nerve pain. The nerve pain was extreme at times so when Amanda woke me up at 1:30 AM yesterday with EXTREME pain in both legs, I was thinking it was a bad nerve pain flare up & no sense going to hospital b/c they already told us they couldn't give the kinds of medicines that'd relieve it to pregnant women. She was insistent that I get 911 on the phone immediately or get to driving so we head to ER at Baptist Health around 3:00AM. Get there & nurses start going over her & decide to check cervix & sure enough, she's in labor. 6cm dilated! It was just really odd the contraction pains were only being felt in Amanda's leg. Amanda elected for an epidural and was fully dilated by 9am so began pushing. Pushed for a combined 3hrs and just couldn't get him past her pelvic bone so Dr. decided that before we stress baby plum out, let's do a c-section so we prepped for that around 1pm. At 2:09pm baby Christian gasped his first breath of air!
Amanda and I are in observation room until Friday. Everyone is happy, healthy, fully intacted, eating good & just otherwise doing great. We couldn't possibly be more blessed to have received such a gift from God!
One happy daddy!
