Newb from ohio with head gasket probs

Ive browsed this forum for years and finally decided to join today. I live outside the small town of republic, oh and i own my own business installing field drain tile. I bought my truck in july of 09 with 62,000 mi, now its currently at 248k. Have upgraded things as i went along, trans, steering, intake/exhaust, efi live, lift pump, transfer case, front diff have all been done and bulletproofed as much as possible. Recently got it back from the mechanic due to a gallon of coolant a week disappearing as well as a big puddle of the stuff under the truck every morning.
SO, im in the market to start shopping for parts to build my motor. Its treated me well for the last 190k miles, might as well upgrade her while its tore down. Plans are head studs, lb7 pistons, have the heads gone thru, some larger nozzles (dont know what size, shooting for 800hp) would like a vnt cheetah turbo, as well as maybe a dual cp3 kit.

Add rods and 10mm pump instead of duals. 100% over sticks. Built Trans.

Yep. Welcome to the site. Sorry about the HG's. LB7/LLY pistons the same thing. Would add valve springs to the list, too.

Thanks for the warm welcome! Trans was built by redline diesel in wooster, oh. Its a stage 4 tranny with a billet triple disk torque converter, have a fass titanium 150gph lift pump also. I was really hoping to stay away from rods, thats such a huge cost adder, who is a reccomended pump builder?

You would be surprised as what just a turbo will do. Imo get a set of rods while your in there. People that cut corners have the motors that get tore down more then they want.

Im pretty sure ive seen you a couple times in tiffin, nice looking truck! Im the guy with the red ccsb and black rims, have a black fuel tank in the back and a bull bar up front.

Anyone know how much hp the lbz crank is good for? Had local(ish) guy tell me he tuned his to 650hp, a friend of his went to 750 with a girdle. Im definitely not one to cut corners, i built everything else to handle the power before i made anymore. If i should *really* need rods, ill try to wait for a deal to come around.
