The latest version of the vB Forum software has a new feature: Passive Image Capture. We are testing this feature right now, and it should be ready by tomorrow.
On LCD displays, there is a latency cycle that is light sensitive. Light Emitting Diodes generate voltage if exposed to light, just like they create light when exposed to electricity. This is how a photovoltaic cell works.
So by mapping into the video RAM during the refresh cycle, an image can be captured by the LCD display of what is in front of it, much like how a light pen works. The image is echoed to the RAM then uploaded to the vB attachment directory.
