buy the fuel filter from GM 50$ retail IIRC, Go to an Allison dealership and pick up 3 gallons of Transynd, get 4 quarts for the rear diff, get 3 quarts for the front diff.

for the diffs I use 75w-90 Amsoil Severe Gear Lube for front and rear diffs. You can easily change all filters and fluids with basic hand tools

how much hp are you looking to make? 350? 400? or go right too 500? PPE Handheld Tuner is a great and easy option. If you want the best of the best EFI Live is what you'll want.

What kind of tune is EFILive? example like you mention 350 400 500? What are those numbers mean.

those numbers signify a Horsepower Level... EFI Live is custom tuning by the end user(you) or if you buy from a tuner example Pat "McRat" McSwain he will include a free 500hp+ race tune and im sure he can write you a 90-100hp tune which for the most part is safe on a stock transmission.

The PPE Handheld is very simple and ranges from 40hp all the way to 350hp over stock... you should buy from a supporting vendor on this forum. McRat should be able to take care of any and all your performance needs:thumb:

When you do the fuel filter, don't forget to prime the filter again before you try and start it up. I was scratching my head and cussing for a few minutes when I forgot to do that. Unless you lave a lift pump, then it really doesn't matter.

Although they sell one, I would refrain from buying your spin-on, external filter for the Allison from them. The spin-on filter, as you'll find when you change it, has a magnet on it that you'll need to clean and reuse on your new filter. The problem with the auto parts store filters is that the magent blocks off too much of the holes in the top of the filter. The Allison brand filters don't have this problem.

As far as service specs, a member/moderator on here by the name of ripmf666 has posted virtually all maintenance and repair information our trucks in the Tech Specs section of this site. If you search there and he hasn't posted something specific you are looking for, just ask him nicely and he'll jladly post it up for you. All GM data that he posts.

FNG = Freakin New Guy. ;). More you post, it changes or it can be manually changed in you UserCP iirc. Welcome bud!
