Guys this is the last post for awhile i promise. Its been 2 days now with this tranny. The very first day we got in the truck took it for a spin overdrive slipped. Today just for the hell of it we pulled up next to a nissan 350z at the red light the young kid was revving it up when he say the stack in the bed of the truck. I spooled the turbo to 1500 rpm light dropped and off we go the tranny never slipped limit or anything all the way up to 130 i left it floored the whole way. Does someone mine telling me why it slipped when we first took it for a spin and 1 day later it dont. i am going to baby it with the 35's now i just wanted to see if i can smoke a 350z. i have some 265 75 tires i am going to run for the drag strip so it aint so hard on the tranny

IMHO, it was a rebuilt ALLY probably still learning, as well... it's an ALLY. I never know what mine is gonna do!! The TCM is constantly making adjustments, looking for the perfect 7/10th +/- second shift. I don't know what i'm gonna do when i want it to shift at 4000 in a month.. it might not do it!

The best mine shifts is when i beat it like a $2 ho. If i drive stop and go, then rag on it... it's retarded, long stretch of freeway, then rag... it's retarded.

The best solution i have found to date is Larry Jewells 01 trans tune, using tow/haul whenever i want to rag on it and standard while driving around town and on the freeway. I only use Co-pilot at the track, the trans seems to learn or leak the pressure so it doesn't seem to work well on the street.

Good luck at the track

Old clutchs where replaced with new ones. is there a way to make the truck go into overdrive say around 60 mph at WOT it shifts in at 80 it aint loading the motor enough i figure if i can get it to go in 20 mph sooner that will load the motor good and hard
