The old moroso was finely redone and it was all concrete with no asphalt is this right? I thought the way to redo a track was to put down if you have the money concrete and a thin layer of asphalt on top of it. Any way my truck would not hook even in 2nd gear launch that's how bad it was even right after they prepped it and put some stickum down needless to say i won't be headed back there for a long time. :baby:

Once they get some big time cars out there to break it in it should get better. Glad the event on the 22nd isn't gonna be there then. Wish I was gonna make it down for that event but I'll be moving the fiance down to NC from NY that weekend. Our local track is concrete and I have cut 1.66 60's on BFG ATs and 1.59 on cheater slicks but on a day with bad track prep it's a world of difference.
Well that's makes me feel better maybe one day it will hook. When we were there it was a per opening event so there was very little to no wear on the track
All concrete is ideal. The concrete might stil be green. Once it gets rubbered up hooking up should be easier.
Asphalt is the bitch. On a hot, clear day it will leach oil and getting traction can suck. Asphalt is a lot cheaper to the track owners though. That's why a lot of tracks have a concrete launch pad, then asphalt down the track.

Yeah it did seem to have a green tint to it. I'll give it a few months before i go back. Y'all are making me feel a little better thanks after the two runs i threw my sucker in the dirt and started drinking :alcoholic:
90*-105* is ideal for higher HP vehicles, anything below 75* or above 125* and we have trouble...Redbone is probably right, once more cars go down the track, it'll start to hook better...
