They are torque monsters but weren't really all that fast. My friends ran 14.8 or 9. His had the TH400 trans and would smoke the tires at will which was fun. I hope you have fun with it, it looks real clean.

yea they are fun trucks, ive had about 4 of these trucks but this one is a beast i dont know whats been done to it, its already smoked some 5.3 trucks

Think it has a cam? I know the t.b.i is a limiting factor when you start modding them.

i think it does, the last one i owned had a cam, roller rockers, and a few more minor mods and this one runs as good as it did

I saw one for sale on e-bay once that says it was de-stroked to 427 and had a Whipplecharger. I imagine it screamed. I guess that would be a 396 crank in the 454 block? Not real sure.
