Im excited to own my Chevy 2500hd. Curious about maintaining properly?
What are the basics?
Fuel additives? Someone suggesting changing oil every 5k and fuel filter every 10k?
Thanks

Welcome ...fuel additives I use power service because you can get it anywhere, it's not the best out there but works. Standyne is great also. Stay away from the cheaper stuff. Oil I run Mobil delvac, I'm an anal bastard and change every 3-4k. Overkill but I don't care. Always use a quality filter, Mobil 1 or acdelco. Fram is junk. Fuel filter I change every other oil change. Make sure your spin on filter on trans is new as well.!

Be sure and use an o.e. style fuel filter too. Either Delco or Racor. The plastic fuel filters are crap. The Duramax is easy on oil. Is it bad to change it often, no. But most are happy with 8-10 k mile service intervals. Depending on year and mileage it'll probably be good to change coolant
