New to Duramax's

Looking to buy an 2001 Silverado 2500HD 4x4 Duramax with 258,000 miles.
Guy wants $11,000 for it. No problems, brand new injectors..

Afe Stage 2 intake
ported turbo horn
ppe boost increase valve
wetzel wheels
mbrp downpipe
4" mbrp straight pipe to a 6" mbrp tip
revmax built transmission with gpz clutch

Any thoughts of this? How long do you think it'll last? Or should I shoot him a different price?

My truck has just shy of 300,000 miles on it; my brother's has over 250,000. 258k is nothing to worry about. The LB7 motor will usually last north of 500,000 miles in stock trim. With the mods listed, I wouldn't be worried about shortening its life. So long as the tuning is sane, that is.

If you keep the power below 450-500 HP, it should hold up forever. Push north of 500 HP on stock internals, and you start getting into dangerous territory. Some people have good luck there, some people don't.

How long do LB7's tend to last?

Just hit 252,000 miles on the way to work this morning. The truck was massively abused by the previous owner before I got it, but it's running strong. All it took to make the truck happy was to change all the fluids and set the valves from ~0.075" to the factory recommended 0.012". That was 15k miles ago. These engines (and trucks) can really hold some abuse and keep on ticking.

Yeah, if I recall, we didn't even have a feeler gauge for that, we just stacked a bunch to get an estimate of how far it was.

His truck also had one of the injector crush washers wedged in a valve spring instead of under the injector.

No idea how long it had been run that way, but it was a good long while judging by the crap that had blown by the injector.

Moral of the story: don't let the dealer touch your truck.

But anyway, if his truck can take that much abuse, and now run perfectly, getting one that was well taken care of with ~250k miles is nothing to worry about.
