New technology to produce diesel

Found this info on MSNBC. looks like a company has genetically engineered a plant to produce diesel/alcohols directly. Hopefully this will work out. It does take some land area, but there supposedly will not be any processing, unlike the algae based idea. Check the FAQ section

I think pretty cool to genetically modify a plant to make diesel, I just do not think they will get the volume they think.

That would really be awesome if they can make it work. Technology is amazing sometimes. Hopefully there won't be a billion taxes to follow it.
