New Shoes for Casper:

Casper has worn more tires than Imelda Marcos had shoes.

Our existing tires are only approved to go 200mph max, so I had to get 200+ mph tires for this season. Hopefully we will need them.

They are Mickey Thompson Bonneville's, 30.0x9.0x18" good for up to 590mph:

thats going to be a bumpy ride but good to have a very good speed rating , and probably the safest tire out there .

I'll bet he feels a big difference with those tires. There has got to be a reason, other than the speed rating, that everyone else uses them also (narrow).

Im gonna go with rolling resistance & strength

im sure aerodynamics play a part aswell, dont want air channeling into contact patch surface of wide tires at these speeds

I cant remember what LSR vehicle had them (SSC or Breedlove?) but it had aluminum wheels/"tires". All metal!

I agree, I also think he will have better traction at speed with a narrow tire.

Kinda like my truck sucks in snow and ice but my heavy ass Benz with narrow tires does great! :rofl: course it has a whopping 123hp stock and mines prolly a few ponys short with the gazillion miles it has:rofl:
