I have had this jeep for a couple of months but just put a new BBC in it. It has a couple hundred miles now and no problems. I have had the urge to get a trail ride and this come along. It's pretty amazing what these things will do. I would love to go out west and play on real rocks! lol

Come on out Jeff! That 44 probably wouldn't fair very well with the big block under the good though lol. I got plenty of trails out here we could cross that thing up in

I thought about a 60. Will the 44 with alloy axle hold up or just go to the 60? I just hate the weight of the 60. It's a mild 454 350 turbo twin stick Dana 300. It seems to work pretty well.

If you wanna go rock crawling I some good trails, your gunna want the d60 cause even built you your snap a built front axle with that motor and some bind in the front end. Really, the fact you a 454, 14bokt rear and on and on, if you wanted to stay light, your kinda started on the wrong foot lol. You would damn near not notice the 60 under the front though.

If it's more mud, slick rock stuff you can probably get away with the 44 a lot longer than out here.

What's the trans/t-case and power steering setup under it? Locked front and rear? That thing would be fun as hell in the sand dunes

I wouldnt worry as much about unsprung weight the jeeps can use some being that they are lighter then what those axles were meant for.

Are they narrowed or full width?
